Commercial Kitchen Hood & Exhaust Cleaning Services
Full exhaust system cleaning — hood, filters, ductwork, and rooftop fan — cleaned to NFPA 96 standards, with before/after photos and a written report on every visit.
The Full System
We Clean the Entire Exhaust Path — Not Just the Hood
Grease travels the whole system. A hood that looks clean can still have a duct run or rooftop fan full of buildup. We service all four sections so your kitchen is fully compliant, not just partially.
Hood Cleaning
The canopy, interior surfaces, and grease troughs are degreased down to bare metal. This is the part your health inspector and staff see every day, and the section most prone to visible grease buildup.
- Interior & exterior canopy degreasing
- Grease trough and collection cup cleared
- Light fixtures and access panels wiped down
Grease Filter Cleaning
Baffle or mesh filters are removed, soaked, and degreased — or replaced if they're too worn to do their job. Clean filters are one of the simplest ways to cut fire risk between full cleanings.
- Removed, degreased, and reinstalled
- Inspected for damage or excessive wear
- Replacement recommended when needed
Duct Cleaning
Grease is removed from horizontal and vertical duct runs through NFPA 96 access points. This is the section most often skipped by "quick" hood-only cleanings — and the one fire marshals ask about most.
- Cleaned through proper access points
- Accessible horizontal & vertical runs degreased
- Access panels resealed after cleaning
Rooftop Exhaust Fan Cleaning
The exhaust fan housing and blades are cleaned, and the hinge kit is inspected so the fan can be safely tilted up for cleaning underneath — a spot where grease commonly collects unnoticed.
- Fan housing & blades degreased
- Hinge kit inspected and safely operated
- Grease cleared from curb and roof area beneath fan
Step By Step
Our Full-System Cleaning Process
-
1. Inspection & "Before" Photos
We walk the full exhaust system — hood, filters, accessible duct, and rooftop fan — and photograph current condition before any cleaning starts.
-
2. Filter Removal & Degreasing
Baffle or mesh filters are pulled, soaked, and degreased, or flagged for replacement if damaged or too far gone to clean effectively.
-
3. Hood Interior & Trough Cleaning
The hood canopy interior, surfaces, and grease trough are degreased down to bare metal.
-
4. Accessible Duct Cleaning
Grease is cleaned from accessible horizontal and vertical duct sections through proper NFPA 96 access points, which are resealed afterward.
-
5. Rooftop Exhaust Fan Service
The fan is cleaned and the hinge kit inspected so it can be safely tilted for cleaning underneath, clearing grease that collects at the roof curb.
-
6. "After" Photos & Walkthrough
We photograph every cleaned section and walk you through the results and any recommendations (e.g., filter replacement, damaged gaskets).
-
7. Written Service Report
You receive a dated report with before/after photos — ready to hand to your fire marshal, health inspector, or insurance carrier on request.
